Our Barley+ products have been known to aid people in many ways: weight loss, gut health, better mental mood, healthier well-being, etc. One of our newest Freedom Foodies is Ben Tzeel, a Type 1 diabetic fitness guru who recently took part in our 28 Day Reboot Challenge to increase gut health and help improve the management of his blood glucose levels.
“I am a huge fan of the muesli, but only tried two of the flavors.
During the 28 Day Reboot we ask that participants only make minor adjustments to their diet. The first is replacing one meal a day, preferably breakfast, and eating our Barley+ cereal and the second is eating one of our Barley+ bars if the participant gets hungry later. That’s it.
Tzeel is studying to be a Registered Dietitian and is currently a strength and conditioning coach but like all of us, has a few favorite guilty pleasure foods.
“I love trail mix with chocolate in it. I also love chips; like those sour cream and cheddar chips.” said Tzeel.
Tzeel’s resume for knowing what is good for his body is impressive, aside from the chocolate and chips. In order to be a dietitian, a strength and conditioning coach, and a fitness model, Tzeel knows what to eat and what not to eat. That’s why we are so happy to hear how well the challenge went for him.
“The hardest part about it [the 28 Day Reboot Challenge] was portion control. I wanted to sit down and eat the whole box.” said Tzeel.
